So long, Summer! The cooler temperatures have made their debut and we’re reluctantly sporting our coziest sweaters. But with the conclusion of warm, sunny days comes the grand entrance of our favorite cider beverages. Curious about where you can indulge around Chelan? Here’s what made our list!
Steelhead Cider “began as a cider company to provide quality alcoholic beverages in an apple region where cider was scarce.” It’s a bar that boasts a selection as diverse as its local crowd. Adventurous, sweet, smooth and balanced, these offerings are sure to tickle your taste buds and have you embracing the Fall! Even better, their values “personify a Pacific Northwest cultural image and attitude that exemplifies environmental awareness, outdoor sports, wildlife and supporting local.”
Rootwood Cider Co.
Rootwood Cider Company encompasses all things autumn. Family owned, the farm spans more than 50 acres complete with three apple orchards and the occasional cherry orchard. They produce unparalleled craft ciders, and in 2015 they opened the first tasting room in downtown Manson. According to its website, the venue “has continued to be an outlet to provide tasting flights, glass pours, bottle sales, growler fills as well as a selection of charcuterie.”

We say the cider is the best because of the great apples… but maybe it has something to do with the amazing sunsets. Not a lot of science behind this theory. 😜 ____________________________ #wagold #sunset #greatcider #washingtongoldcider #lakechelan #lakechelanwinery #bbqinthevineyard
Who doesn’t love tradition? At Washington Gold Cider they’ve spent over 40 years “growing the best apples in the world.” While they once sold this superior product out of the back of an old pick-up truck, this family business currently offers “crisp, refreshing hard cider handcrafted in [their] historic apple packing shed.” Just wait until you indulge in their five delicious flavors!
