We can’t help getting excited as the weather here is getting warmer! We’ve been focusing on plenty of warm weather activities such as parasailing and our guide to the perfect Lake Chelan summer. Continuing that same theme, this week’s blog focuses on lake activities, specifically kayaking Lake Chelan!
Kayaking Lake Chelan
Kayaking Lake Chelan is a fun, easy way to get out on the lake and enjoy the water! We’ve said before that you need to take advantage of being right on the lake when you stay at Lakeside Lodge and Suites, and kayaking will take that experience to the next level.
Since not everyone owns a kayak (and even if you do, you might not bring it on vacation!) we recommend using Lake Rider Sports for kayak rentals.
What is required to rent a kayak?
All rentals require two things:
- A signed participant liability form
- A valid ID or credit card number for deposit
Valid forms of ID include: driver’s license, military ID, passport
For minors, Lake Rider Sports requires a photo copy of the parent or legal guardian ID as well as a signature on the liability form.
If you’d like to get right out on the lake to go kayaking Lake Chelan when you arrive, you can print off and sign the liability form before your arrival.
How much do these rentals cost?
You can see the table below for information on how much it costs to rent the kayaks from Lake Rider Sports. You have the option of renting a single, double, or triple kayak and multiple options for rental length.
Prices | 1 hour | 4 hours | 8 hours | Multiple Day | Overnight |
Single kayak | $20 | $55 | $70 | $60 | $35 |
Double kayak | $35 | $75 | $90 | $80 | $45 |
Triple kayak | $45 | $95 | $110 | $100 | $55 |
