The Cascade Loop has come to be known as, “The Best Road Trip Vacation in Washington State.” This 400-mile scenic driving tour starts just 28 miles north of Seattle, circles through the Cascade Mountains, passes along the Columbia River Valley, goes past Lake Chelan through the North Cascades National Park, and into the Puget Sound.
If you are into road trips, this is one you don’t want to pass up. The Cascade Loop will take you past the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer. You’ll go through friendly towns, see some amazing scenery, and get to experience it all at your own leisure. On the Cascade Loop website they have a ton of useful information for planning your trip. Resources include milage and time between towns, interactive travel maps, suggested tours, and information about lodging in each region. You can even create an account and organize your own itinerary.
The Regions of the Cascade Loop
Washington’s Scenic Byway passes through many different regions. Each one is diverse and has its own unique offerings. You can start and end wherever you like, but if you have the time, we suggest you see them all. What better way to experience our beautiful state of Washington?!
