Chelan is known for producing some of the best apples in the country. And what better way to enjoy those apples than by picking them off the trees yourself? Late summer in Chelan is the prime time for apple picking. Mid-September brings harvest for favorites such as Gala and Honeycrisp apples, while early October is the best time to pick Fuji, Red Delicious, and Golden Delicious varieties.
Go hiking
With days in the mid 70’s well into October, this is the perfect hiking weather. Get outside and find some hiking trails to explore and enjoy the great outdoors! On the Washington Trails Association website you’ll be able to discover the best trails, trail difficulty levels, and hiking tips.
